Why Voter ID Opponent lost in North Dakota
In Brakebill v. Jaeger, a two-one majority concluded since 99.5% of all voters possessed and ID, North Dakota should not be prevented from implementing the voter ID requirement. The state law does not place "a substantial burden on most North Dakota voters." This is a great step in making sure we have fair and honest elections.
Illinois, especially Chicago, has a reputation nationwide for less than honest elections. It's time we followed North Dakota and many other states in requiring voter ID. Most Americans agree with me that every legitimate vote should count. Especially in a year as important as 2020.
